KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 24

Venus National College and Manakamana Secondary School wins Bagmati Province champions title under the Asian Paints Champions Cup 2026, in the girls’ and boys’ categories respectively.

In the girls’ final held on Wednesday at the Laboratory School ground in Kirtipur, Venus National College defeated Adarsha Vidya Mandir (AVM) School 1–0 to clinch the title.

Diksha Rayamajhi scored the decisive goal in the 50th minute to secure the victory for VenusNational College. With the title, Venus National College has also qualified to represent Bagmati

Province in the national-level competition.

The girls’ tournament, which began on 20 September, featured 10 school-level teams.

Meanwhile, Manakamana Secondary School were crowned Bagmati Province champions in the boys’ category. In the provincial-level final held at the Laboratory School ground, the Kathmandu Valley champions defeated Madi Secondary School, winners of the Chitwan district tournament, 3–1.

Sanil Magar scored a hat-trick for Manakamana Secondary School. Pratik Ramdham scored Madi Secondary School’s only goal from the penalty spot, but the team could not make a

comeback.

With these results, Venus National College in the girls’ category and Manakamana Secondary School in the boys’ category have been crowned Bagmati Province champions in the Asian Paints Champions Cup 2026.
