KATHMANDU: The three districts of Kathmandu valley reported 398 fresh cases of coronavirus infection on Tuesday.
Kathmandu district alone reported 324 cases while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur registered 52 and 22 infections respectively.
Of those newly infected in the valley, 156 are females while 242 are males.
Currently, there are 2942 active infections in Kathmandu, 364 in Lalitpur, and 165 in Bhaktapur. The total number of active cases throughout Nepal, as of today, is 6396.
So far, 469 fatalities from Covid-19 have been reported in Kathmandu, 100 in Bhaktapur, and 146 in Lalitpur. The nationwide death-toll has advanced to 1840 with eight additional fatalities reported today.
Meanwhile, a total of 93,374 people have recovered from the infection in Kathmandu while 14,659 have recovered in Lalitpur and 8560 in Bhaktapur.
At present, Kathmandu is the only district in the country with over 500 active cases while Mahottari, Sarlahi, Siraha, Mugu and Rukum West have zero live infections.
