KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 16
Ambassadors’ Club Nepal hosted a reception for newly accredited ambassadors to Nepal and their spouses, bringing together diplomats, lawmakers, senior government officials and representatives of international organisations.
The reception welcomed Thailand’s Ambassador Donnawit Poolsawat, Pakistan’s Ambassador Mohammad Aamir Khan, France’s Ambassador Françoise Puig-Inza, European Union Ambassador Charles Whiteley and Brunei Darussalam’s Ambassador Siti Arnyfariza Binti Haji Mohd Jaini.
South Korean Ambassador Park Jae-kyung was also included in the welcome but could not attend the event.
Ambassadors’ Club Nepal President Dr Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal welcomed the diplomats and highlighted Nepal’s longstanding relations with their respective countries, as well as opportunities to broaden cooperation.
Describing the Club as “a trusted home for diplomacy”, Dhakal said it provides a platform for ambassadors to build friendships, exchange perspectives and promote diplomatic, cultural and economic ties between Nepal and the international community.
The reception concluded with dinner and a musical performance by Sur Sudha.
