Supreme Court Bar election begins

KATHMANDU: Voting to elect the new leadership for Supreme Court Bar Association has begun.

Two panels led by senior advocate Purna Man Shakya of democratic lawyers, and senior advocate Ravi Narayan Khanal of progressive lawyers are contesting the election for new leadership.

According to chief election officer Raju Khadka, the election process was going on by adhering to health protocols and would be concluded by 2:00 pm today.

There are 605 voters in the Supreme Court Bar Association.
