Khadka appointed

KATHMANDU: Former Nepal national team skipper Paras Khadka has been appointed as the Emerging Talent Manager of Team Abu Dhabi.

“The Nepalese cricket legend will play a mentor role during this season,” Team Abu Dhabi tweeted.

Khadka, who played for the team in last season’s T10 League in the United Arab Emirates, was excited with the new role.

“Hopefully will get to build on this for Nepal cricket to grow at international level through cricketing tie-ups and more opportunities for our cricketers in the near future through Team Abu Dhabi. Let’s do this,” Khadka posted on his Facebook page.

Khadka, who led the national team to the 2014 World Twenty20 finals in Bangladesh, has been nominated in the ICC Men’s Associate Player of the Decade.
