KATHMANDU: Following the surge of new strain of coronavirus, Nepali Embassy in United Kingdom has stopped issuing visas for Nepal effective from December 23.
Issuing a notice on Tuesday, the Embassy in London said that the visit and other visas for Nepal will be not be issued until further notice.
The emabassy also informed that all the passengers from UK as first port of call or transit are restricted to enter nepal following the decision of the Government of Nepal.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has banned entry for people arriving from the United Kingdom effective from Wednesday midnight.

More and more countries around the world are imposing various travel restrictions on UK amid concerns about new the new strain.
Nepal’s move follows the decision of asian countries including Hong Kong, Pakistan and India to ban the travelers from Britain to protect their populations from the virus variant.
