Janata Samajwadi Party demonstrates against PM Oli’s decision of dismantling HoR

RAUTAHAT: Janata Samajwadi Party took to the streets in Rautahat’s headquarters Gaur to protest against PM Oli’s decision of Lower House dissolution, on Wednesday.

The Nepal Communist Party (NCP), under the leadership of two chairpersons Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal, had been elected as the ruling party with two-thirds majority in the 2017 general elections.

However, in the years leading on, as the internal rift within the party further widened, PM Oli decided to dissolve the House of Representatives (HoR). This being viewed as unconstitutional and undemocratic, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal decided to collectively protest.

Top leaders and cadres of the party participated in the demonstrations.
