KATHMANDU: People gear up to celebrate Christmas, greatest festival of the Christian community and popular worldwide as a time of merry-making among family and friends, in Kathmandu.
Christmas, celebrated on December 25 according to the Gregorian calendar, marks the birth of Jesus Christ.
During Christmas, those celebrating decorate the Christmas, exchange greetings and gifts with loved ones, cook and revel in good food, among others things.
