KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed sorrow over the demise of party national advisory council member Swanam Sathi, also known as Shashi Sherchan.
Swanam passed away Friday night in the course of treatment at Model Hospital in the capital city.
In a condolence message today, Dahal mentioned that late communist leader Swanam had a firm determination and contributed to the progressive political and cultural movements in the country.
Swanam was born on Shrawan 17, 2007 BS of the Nepali calendar in Darbang-2 of Myagdi district. He received membership of the communist party in 2025 BS and later on established Proletarian Communist League in 2033 BS. He had also launched the peasants’ revolution in 2038 BS forming the Proletarian Workers Organization Nepal.
Dahal further extended condolences to the bereaved family.
