KATHMANDU: Discontented riders of the ride-sharing platform, Pathao, have vandalised the company office, in New Baneshwar on Monday.
The riders were at Pathao office to negotiate with the company their various demands when the dispute broke off following the alleged refusal of the platform to fulfil their demands.
Windows of the office have been damaged in the incident.
Police have arrested 26 persons who were protesting against the company for their involvement in vandalism.
Pathao bike riders had forwarded an 11-point demand on December 21 including commission reduction, accident and treatment insurance, bike insurance, no suspension without information, and toll-free number of the company care centre.
The riders have been demanding for the reduction of commission rates on the fare received from passengers to eight per cent. The platform has been taking a commission of 20 percent.
