KATHMANDU: Main opposition party Nepali Congress today organised demonstrations across the country in protest against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).
The protests were held in all the 165 electoral constituencies across the country today.
Addressing a protest meet of constituency no. 1 of Kathmandu in New Baneshwor this afternoon, former General Secretary Prakash Man Singh, accused Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of dissolving the parliament after failing to resolve internal rift of his party.
He also commented that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli did not dare to seek a vote of confidence from the people’s representatives, though he boasted of a two-thirds majority.
Following the dissolution of parliament, various political parties have been staging demonstrations nationwide in protest of PM Oli’s move.
