Visiting Chinese delegation meets NC president Deuba

KATHMANDU: The high-level delegation led by vice-minister of the Communist Party of China, Guo Yezhou, has met with president of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba, in Kathmandu.

The meeting took place at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha. Matters of bilateral concerns were discussed at the meeting, Deuba’s foreign affairs advisor Dinesh Bhattarai was quoted in Rastriya Samachar Samiti as saying.

It has been learnt that the visiting delegation also extended Deuba an invitation to visit China to attend the centenary celebration of establishment of the Communist Party of China in 2021.

During the meeting, vice-minister Guo Yezhou also remembered NC’s founding president BP Koirala and his contributions in improving relations with China.

The four-member Chinese delegation that arrived in a chartered flight on Sunday has been meeting high-level dignitaries in the capital city.

On Sunday evening, the delegation had called on President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Likewise, they met Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leaders Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, among others, on Monday.
