KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Health Ministry shared the latest updates on coronavirus contagion from across the country.

Till date, 1,982,246 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method have been carried out wherein 4,286 tests were performed in the last 24 hours.
At present, there are 257 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country. The number of active cases in Nepal is 4,422.
259 new cases of the coronavirus infection were registered today taking the national tally to 264,780.
As many as 513 persons earlier diagnosed with the disease have tested negative in the last 24 hours. With the recent addition, the national COVID-19 recovery tally has now reached 258,441.
Meanwhile, five more fatalities were confirmed by the Ministry today, with which the country’s COVID-19 death tally has reached 1,917.
As of today, the country has witnessed 264,780 cases of the coronavirus infection while 258,441 people have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 1,917 COVID-19 fatalities have been confirmed.
