Japan dispatched 300,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to Nepal. The vaccines, which were given away as a grant, arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday.
Dr. Roshan Pokharel, the Health Secretary, has stated that Nepal received 500,000 from Saturday.
With Sunday’s batch, Nepal received 800,000 COVD-19 vaccines from Japan on the weekend. Japan will be sending another 800,000 doses to Nepal.
Nepal had also received 230,000 doses of AstraZeneca from Bhutan. The vaccination drive of Nepal will begin tomorrow. The vaccines from Japan will be used to vaccinate the partially vaccinated Nepalis fully.
