The Kathmandu University’s School of Engineering has launched two new Artificial Intelligence (AI) programs, the first ever AI-courses in Nepal.
The programs were launched during a press conference on Monday, i.e., August 9, 2021.
The new AI Courses Include:
Bachelor of Technology in Artificial Intelligence (BTech AI)
Master of Technology in Artificial Intelligence (MTech AI)
According to the KU university, the classes for both the courses will officially begin with the September 2021 admission.
“Kathmandu University is providing these two degrees in response to the growing need for artificial intelligence expertise and employees both globally and nationally,” said Prof. Dr. Manish Pokharel, Dean of the School of Engineering.
“The programs are the first of their kind in Nepal.”
“We are glad to extend a platform to obtain bachelor’s and master’s degrees in such specialized fields, and we think that it will meet the country’s demands in terms of producing AI professionals,” he added.
