LALITPUR, OCTOBER 29
Promoted Satdobato Youth Club will begin the Qatar Airways Martyrs Memorial A Division League campaign with a match against Friends Club next month.
The inaugural match of the league between the two Lalitpur-based teams will be played under lights at the Dasharath Stadium on November 15, informed the organisers, All Nepal Football Association, at a draw ceremony today. ANFA Complex grounds will also host the matches of the league.
Himalayan Sherpa Club will take on Sankata Club, while Chyasal Youth Club face Three Star Club in Patan derby.
Another Lalitpur-based club, Jawalakhel Youth Club will play against Manang Marshyangdi Club, while Brigade Boys Club take on APF Football Club on November 17.
Likewise, Tribhuvan Army Football Club will take on Nepal Police Club in the departmental derby at the ANFA Complex grounds, while defending champions Machhindra Football Club face New Road Team at the Dasharath Stadium in the last match of the first round on November 18. ANFA announced the fixtures for the first two rounds and will release the remaining schedules as the tournament progresses.
According to the organisers, the winners of the round-robin league will receive Rs 7.5 million, while the runners-up and third placed teams will take home five million rupees and Rs 2.5 million respectively. The best player of the league will receive golden ball, while the highest scorer and best goalkeeper will get golden boot and gloves respectively. The final match of the league will be played on February 26 next year.
