Haribhan Chadar of Ward 7 of Badimalika has been battling for life on the bed of Bir Hospital, Kathmandu. “Chadar has been struggling for life for want of money on the hospital bed,” said his relative Padam Chadar.
Impoverished Chadar was taken to Bajura Hospital for treatment initially. He was then transferred to Achham’s Bayalpata for additional treatment.
Then, he was taken to Kailali’s Seti Provincial Hospital and again to Bir Hospital, Kathmandu, for treatment.
Chadar is suffering from kidney ailment.
Chadar had stayed at home for a long time for want of money. “Chadar had borrowed some money from a local money lender for treatment. Now, . his treatment has hit snag for lack of money,” said ward Chair Dharma Raj Padhyay.
Chadar’s wife had died some years ago due to lack of treatment.
He has four kids.
He is making appeals for his treatment from the bed at Bir Hospital. He used to feed his kids working as a daily wage earner. Chadar has already spent Rs 30,000 up till now. Since he has run out of money, he has been left in the lurch, said ward Chair Dharma Raj Padhyay.
