LCCI Global Qualifications, in partnership with Cambridge English, organised the Cambridge English Leadership Conference 2026 in Kathmandu, bringing together school leaders, principals and educators to discuss the future of English language education in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).
Held under the theme “Redefining English Education: Empowering Learner-Centred Classrooms in the AI Era,” the conference focused on strengthening learner-centred teaching practices and adapting English language education to meet the evolving demands of 21st-century classrooms.
The conference featured keynote sessions by Helen Kenyon, an education specialist from Cambridge English, who shared insights on English language teaching, assessment, teacher development, the use of digital tools for inclusive learning, and the role of AI as a collaborative partner in education.
British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn, the chief guest, underscored the long-standing educational ties between Nepal and the United Kingdom and highlighted the global reputation of the University of Cambridge. He welcomed the growing partnership between Cambridge English and LCCI Global Qualifications.
The event also recognised schools under the Cambridge English Educational Partner (CEEP) programme and honoured outstanding partner schools for excellence in English language education. Takshashila Progressive English School in Birtamode, East Horizon School in Dhulabari, Kasturi Academy in Itahari, Asia Pacific School, Valley Public High Secondary School, and Angels Heart Secondary School received awards. Case studies presented by Asia Pacific School and Takshashila Progressive English School highlighted their implementation of the Cambridge English programme and innovative classroom practices.
Speaking at the event, Dr Roshan Rathi, co-founder of LCCI Global Qualifications, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to improving English language education in Nepal through international partnerships, professional development and globally benchmarked learning programmes.
The conference concluded with discussions and networking sessions among education leaders, with participants reaffirming their commitment to developing confident, creative and future-ready learners through quality English language education.
