KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 27

Deurali Dojang won the team championship of the second Deurali Cup Bhim Chandra Memorial Open Karate Championship here on Saturday.

The hosts claimed 10 gold, five silver and six bronze medals. Nagadesh came second with three golds, one silver and four bronze medals. Nikhil Karki of Nagadesh and Kanchan Nepali of Deurali were adjudged the best players of the tournament, while Neli Joshi of Deurali was named the emerging player.

A total of 22 players took part in the one-day event held at EPS School. The organisers also felicitated sports journalists Dhruba Tuladhar and Dil Bahdaur Tamang on the occasion.
