KATHMANDU: Following the rupture of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Province 1 Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Indra Bahadur Aangbo has been removed from office, on Saturday.
It has been learnt that Chief Minister of Province 1 Sherdhan Rai removed Minister Aangbo from his cabinet after the latter was suspected to be involved in planning a no-confidence motion against the CM.
Aangbo is considered close to the Dahal-Nepal faction of NCP.
In a letter issued by the office of the chief minister, CM Rai has notified that Minister Aangbo was relieved from his post as per Article 169 (2) (b) of the Constitution of Nepal.
