DAMAULI, DECEMBER 28
Senior leader of Nepali Congress Ramchandra Paudel today said that efforts were afoot to make Nepal another Afghanistan.
Addressing a mass meeting organised at Damuali by his party, Paudel charged that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s autocratic modus operandi had plunged the country into a deep crisis. “Efforts are on to make Nepal another Afghanistan,”
Paudel stated. He accused Prime Minister Oli of trying to impose Communist authoritarianism by appointing his ‘yes men’ in constitutional bodies unilaterally.
Paudel slammed the prime minister as he said that communists were good at creating problems.
He expressed confidence that the Supreme Court would overturn the government decision of dissolving the House of Representatives, adding the conditional ‘if the judiciary is fair and independent in Nepal’.
He urged all the lawyers and advocates to give strong irrefutable arguments in favour of reinstating the House.
