KATHMANDU: Exports have increased five percent in the first five months of current fiscal year 2020/21 as compared to the previous fy 2019/20 data, Department of Customs showed.
Export of Rs 50.5 billion have been made in this period, which is a 5.12 percent increase as compared to the previous FY’s Rs 47.61 billion.
Similarly, import has decreased by approximately 10 percent as opposed to the same period in the previous FY.
This is in figure Rs 525.49 billion of import in the first five months of the current FY, a 9.59 percent decrease. In the previous FY import was Rs 581.25 billion, according to data.
