Amid the threat of third wave of the pandemic, the National Examinations Board (NEB) has postponed the Grade 12 Examinations for the academic year 2020/21 until further notice.
Previously, the NEB scheduled the grade 12 examinations from Shrawan 31, 2078 (August 15, 2021) till Bhadra 9, 2078 (August 25, 2021).
The latest decision comes on the heels of the recommendation from the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) to postpone all upcoming examinations.
“The Grade XII examination is postponed until another notice is published,” informed NEB President Prof. Dr. Chandramani Poudel.
According to the NEB, around 3,86,000 class 12 students are appearing for Grade 12 examination this year. A total of 4,335 examination centers were allotted all over the country.
Citing the multiple postponements, the NEB is likely to cancel physical examinations and follow last year’s module of allotting grades to students based on the internal assessment by their colleges.
