BAJURA, DECEMBER 19
Dhan Bahadur Rawat of Budhinanda Municipality, Bajura, who is suffering from paralysis, has got his house built with the help of philanthropists.
Dhan Bahadur, with his family, had been staying in a shed of his neighbour’s for long now after he fell ill while constructing his home. Himself a paralytic patient, Dhan Bahadur lost his eldest son and wife long ago. His second son is disabled, and the youngest one is too young to work. “Me and my sons, one of whom is disabled and the other too young to work for us, were living in a shed. Thanks to kind hearts, we now have a house to live in,” said a happy Dhan Bahadur, expressing gratitude to all who helped him.
Badimalika Khabar and different local social activists and Nepali expats living in India had chipped in for the construction of a house for Dhan Bahadur. Similarly, for the purpose of income generation, Shanti Sewa Griha of Kathmandu and a German national Marianne Grospietch have provided three goats worth Rs 32,000. “After learning about his condition, we bought goats and provided them to the family thinking that it would generate income for them,” said Shanti Sewa Griha’s Bijendra Kunwar.
