KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 10

Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister Gauri Kumari Yadav has resigned from her post.

Yadav submitted her resignation to Prime Minister Balendra Shah on Thursday, according to her secretariat.

Her resignation comes a day after she drew controversy over remarks in a parliamentary committee about gas entrepreneurs.

Gas industry representatives had objected to her remarks and brought the matter to the prime minister’s attention.
