KATHMANDU: The winter session of the National Assembly is expected to begin from January 1.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Friday evening decided to recommend to President Bidya Devi Bhandari to call the winter session of the Upper House, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal told THT Online.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli appointed eight new Cabinet ministers and one minister of state yesterday, after he recommended dissolution of the House of Representatives on December 20, which was swiftly approved by the President.
Moreover, the portfolios of six ministers were changed while Minister of Youth and Sports, and Minister of State for Industries, Commerce and Supplies were removed from the Cabinet.
