The General Secretary of Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies, Sujith Shreshta, opined that Nepal’s chances of securing foreign employment were impacted adversely by the emergence of COVID-19.
Though the keenness to migrate from Nepal exists among the citizens, the lack of demand has created this dip.
Madhu Pandit, a Foreign employment expert, opined that this dip would impact the country’s socio-economic health adversely in the long run. He stressed that the government has to remedy this situation as remittances are a significant source of income to the national economy.
