The ruling coalition partners of Nepal convened a meeting at the Prime Ministerial residence at Baluwatar to finalize the portfolio allocation of the cabinet.
As of this moment, the cabinet has only six ministers serving Nepal despite the fact that the incumbent government is a month old now.
Earlier, a meeting was held between the top political leaders of the Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), and CPN (Unified Socialist) on Sunday. The leaders were told to have discussed cabinet expansion.
Prime Minister Sher Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Dahal, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav, and Federal Council Chairman of JSP Baburam Bhattarai are hammering out their differences in today’s meeting at Baluwatar.
