Nepal Communist Party (NCP)’s Standing Committee meeting underway

KATHMANDU: The standing committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has finally begun.

The meeting is being conducted at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

Co-chair of the party Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is also present at the meeting with his contemporary, party’s other co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal, after much speculation today.

Oli and Dahal had met this afternoon prior to the standing committee meeting. The two co-chairs held a discussion to dilute the dispute that has been afflicting the party.

Although the standing committee meeting was scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm today, it only commenced a while ago.
