The Nepali health ministry has reported that the country’s COVID-19 caseload has reached 765,815 on Tuesday after the ministry detected 3,383 new infections.
10,638 people were tested for the infection using the RT-PCR method, and 2,448 people tested positive for the virus. Additionally, 6,080 people were subjected to antigen testing. From this populace, 935 people were found to be infected.
The overall per-day positivity rate of Nepal has reached 20.23 percent. PCR has a 23.01 positivity percent, and antigen testing has a 15.37 positivity rate.
Of total tests, 23.01 percent of the PCR and 15.37 percent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 20.23 percent.
Nepal now has 32,059 active cases. 3,037 infected people are hospitalized, 686 are battling viral infection in the ICU, and 162 are fighting for their lives on ventilators. 24 people have succumbed to the infection. A total of 9,922 people have died from COVID-19 infections.
1,994 people have recovered from the virus. So totally, 660,116 Nepalis have recovered from the deadly virus.
2,002,703 people are fully vaccinated, while 4,254,540 people are partially vaccinated.
