[Kathmandu, April 27th and May 4th] – The Nepal Tourism Board, The International Finance Corporation: IFC, and Solimar International present the Nepal Heritage Tourism Virtual Investment Forum a two-part online webinar on consecutive Tuesdays: April 27th and May 4th, featuring more than a dozen world-class tourism and finance professionals as esteemed panelists.
This two-part virtual event opens with a joint welcome from Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, CEO of the Nepal Tourism Board and Babacar Sedikh Faye, Resident Representative from IFC Nepal to kick off this heritage investment event and talk about the necessity of tourism investment to help Nepal’s economy recover post-COVID.
The following panels highlight renowned international tour operators, heritage tourism investors, architects, landscape architects, developers, and hotel operators as they share insights on international and Nepali case studies of heritage-based accommodation investment and conservation.
The forum will also include deep-dive discussions bringing together Nepali financial institutions, international impact investment funds, and other case studies to discuss opportunities for accessing traditional and non-traditional financing for heritage investments.
In addition to the live virtual sessions, the symposium will provide detailed information on the three investment opportunities identified by IFC in the Annapurna Conservation Area along with other resources to support tourism investment in Nepal’s heritage.
