Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Narayan Khadka, has departed for United Nations General Assembly in New York.
He will lead the Nepali delegation and attend the 76th session of the General Assembly.
The UN General Assembly had begun on September 13. The delegation departed from Tribhuvan International Airport, and they were given a send-off by the Acting Foreign Secretary Prakash Subedi and other officials from the foreign ministry.
Narayan Khadka will be addressing the world at the UN General Assembly. The theme of his address is “Building resilience through hope to recover from COVID-19, rebuild sustainably, respond to the needs of the planet, respect the rights of the people and revitalize the United Nations.”
The delegation also includes Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Poudyal, Joint Secretary Sewa Lamsal, and Nepal’s Permanent Representative to UN, Amrit Rai.
