KATHMANDU, AUGUST 6

A woman was killed and 19 others injured after a passenger bus crashed into the wall of the Gwarko flyover in Lalitpur on Thursday.

The bus (Ba 2 Kha 3590), which was travelling from Bhaktapur to Satdobato, rammed into the flyover wall, police said.

According to Lalitpur District Police Range Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra, the deceased was a 40-year-old woman.

The 19 injured passengers are receiving treatment at various hospitals.

Police said preliminary investigations suggest the accident may have been caused by excessive speed.
