Kathmandu, December 21
Protesters belonging to Students Union, affiliated to the Nepali Congress, burn an effigy of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli against his move to dissolve the House of Representatives of the federal parliament, in Kathmandu, on Sunday, December 20, 2020.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari declared mid-term polls to be held in two rounds on April 30 and May 10 after Prime Minister dissolved the parliament amid deepening rift within the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), igniting anger and confusion among people and political parties.
Youths took to the streets protesting the same with banners that call PM Oli’s move ‘unconstitutional’.
