KATHMANDU: Co-chair of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has paid a visit to the party’s other co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
The meeting is presently being carried out at Dahal’s residence in Khumaltar, Lalitpur.
PM Oli has called upon Dahal at a time when the intra-party rift within NCP has heightened. Disagreement between the two co-chairs of the ruling party increased after PM Oli pushed the promulgation of ordinance amending the Constitutional Council Act.
Meanwhile, NCP’s standing committee, on Wednesday, decided to withdraw the controversial ordinance.
On December 6, standing committee meeting held at the party’s central office in Dhumbarahi had discussed Dahal’s 19-page proposal levelling serious allegations against Oli and the PM’s 38-page rebuttal. The committee has yet to take a decision on the two documents.
