BAJURA, OCTOBER 18

Most of the roads in Bajura were obstructed due to incessant rainfall since yesterday. Continuous rainfall has obstructed Sanphe-Martadi, Martadi-Kolti and Balde-Aantichaur, among other road sections, in the district.

According to Bajura District Police Office, the road sections were obstructed after landslides occurred in different places. The people faced problems reaching their destination after the road caved in and mud-slips occurred in many places along the road sections.

Transportation service has also been affected.

Police said transportation service was disrupted after the road caved-in at Balde and Aamkot, among other places of the Sanphe-Martadi road section. Transportation service in the areas had resumed only a week ago. Transportation was disrupted from yesterday morning after rainfall damaged the roads.

Similarly, Silgadi-Sanphebagar road section was also obstructed after landslides occurred at Chaukhutte of Achham. Vehicles heading towards Bajura and Achham from Dhangadi and Mahendranagar were stranded at Chaukhutte. Vehicles heading towards Dhangadi, and Mahendranagar from Bajura and Achham were also stranded on the way.
