DOLAKHA, MAY 21

Results of the May 13 election are out in all thee local levels of Dolakha.

Out of 74 wards, Nepali Congress has won 25 and become the first party while the CPN-UML has bagged victory in 24 wards.

CPN-Maoist Centre secured the third position bagging victory in 21 wards.

CPN (Unified Socialist) and independent candidates have won two wards each.

Out of two municipalities and seven rural municipalities, three parties – Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Centre have won six local levels while CPN-UML has won two local levels.

NC’s Kamal Basnet won the post of mayor in Bhimeswor Municipality, while the three-party alliance’s candidate Sangita Pakhrin won the deputy mayoral position of the same municipality.

Common candidate Arjun Siwakoti of the NC and Maoist Centre’s Kul Bahadur Budhathoki won the mayor and deputy mayor of Kalinchowk Rural Municipality respectively.

Maoist candidate Biswas Karki and NC’s Shyam Sundar Tamang have won the chair and deputy chair of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality.

Likewise, Maoist candidate Rimalbabu Shrestha and UML’s Parbati Thapa bagged the posts of chair and deputy chair of Sailung Rural Municipality respectively.

CPN-UML’s Mitra Jirel and Krishna Maya Budhthoki were elected mayor and deputy mayor of Jiri Municipality.
