Nepal’s Sakshyam Bikram Shah and Sunira Thapa hold their medals after the Kathmandu-Asian U-14 Ranking Tennis Tournament in Lalitpur on Thursday.

LALITPUR, NOVEMBER 25
Nepal claimed all four gold medals in the Kathmandu-Asian U-14 Ranking Tennis Tournament here at the Tennis Complex on Thursday.
Sakshyam Bikram Shah defeated fellow Nepali player Darshil Shrestha 6-1, 6-0 in the boys’ singles final, while India’s Siddhartha Jibu and Pakistan’s Amir Muhammed Khan finished joint third.
Likewise, Nepal’s Sunira Thapa won the girls’ section gold medal with a 6-4, 7-6 (3) victory over Prashamsa Moktan. Nepal’s Adya Poudel and USA’s Nala Josfin Maskey bagged bronze medals. Shah and Thapa had also won singles gold medals in the Circuit-I tournament last week.
On Wednesday, the pairs of Sakshyam Bikram Shah/Darshil Shrestha and Sunira Thapa/ Prashamsa Moktan bagged gold medals in doubles events.
A total of 33 players from Nepal, India, Pakistan and the United States took part in the five-day tournament.
Nepal Tennis Association Vice-president Keshav Raj Pandey and tournament director Ajay Bista handed over the prizes to the winners.
