Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial Trust felicitated national women’s volleyball team skipper Aruna Shahi with the Sher Bahadur Khadka Special Award here today.
NIC Asia Bank CEO Roshan Kumar Neupane, Trust Patron Gamali Khadka, President Ranjan Khadka, Nepal Volleyball Association Vice-president Niroj Maskey, General Secretary Jitendra Bahadur Chand, Paint Dealers Association President Ram Chandra Khatri and Analog Inc CFO Santosh Pandey felicitated Shahi Shahi received Rs 50,000 along with smart watch and Italian suit piece from Analong Inc, t-shirt and watch from Sulux Centre and one-day package from Dhulikhel Resort. Shahi was selected for the award for her captaincy and performance in the Asian Senior Women’s Central Zone Volleyball Tournament and 13th South Asian Games.
Shahi thanked the Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial Trust for the award and dedicated the award to the national team. “I am grateful to the Trust for this honour and I would like to share this award with the national team,” said Shahi.
“And I would like to thank the Trust for the award, which is always a motivational factor for players like me,” added Shahi, who led the national team to the first ever gold medal in the Asian Senior Women’s Central Zone Volleyball Tournament in Dhaka.
