Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has directed concerned authorities to slash broker commission taking into consideration various aspects of capital market.
During a discussion at the ministry today, Minister Paudel instructed them to be proactive and make necessary preparations to reduce the rate of broker commission without any delay.
Noting that the capital market is expanding and developing, he directed the line agencies to prepare a work schedule and implement it to resolve the existing problems in the secondary market.
Minister Paudel also directed the authorities to complete budget-stipulated works of current fiscal for development of capital market. “Also do the necessary in case reforms are necessary in laws and regulations governing capital market.”
Finance Secretaries Shishir Kumar Dhungana and Ramsharan Pudasaini, economic adviser Prakash Kumar Shrestha, Joint Secretary Jhakka Prasad Acharya, Chairperson of Securities Board of Nepal Bhishma Raj Dhungana, Nepal Stock Exchange Chairperson Laxman Neupane, Chief Executive Officer of Nepse Chandra Singh Saud and CEO of CDSC Purna Prasad Acharya, among others, were present in the discussion.
