KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office, Kathmandu is giving permission to clubs, pubs and other party hubs to remain open till 12:00 midnight on the occasion of Christmas Eve on December 24.
Kali Prasad Parajuli, Chief District Officer informed, “We have allowed establishments to organise parties as per the guidelines issued by Tourism Ministry.”
As per the guideline, party hubs and other such places are allowed to hold parties till 12:00 midnight, following all COVID-19 safety precautions and allowing entry to a limited number of people only, he informed.
With such permissions from the authority concerned, preparations have begun for the parties at the Club Fahrenheit, as per Milan Shrestha, owner of the club. Assuring his club is taking precautions for COV- ID-19, he said, “We have installed disinfectant booth, placed sanitisers at every nook and corner, and we will do our best to maintain physical distance of the visitors at the club.” But, he appeals everyone who is planning to visit the club to “adopt safety measures. We will do our best to make you safe but it is also in your hands whether you follow them or not. I request all to be responsible for their own safety.”
Sahadev Sedhain, Front Desk Manager at Lord of the Drinks said, “Our club’s priority is safety and we have been adopting all the needed safety measures — from disinfecting seating areas, bars, tables to maintaining physical distance, we are doing it all.”
He added, “We have placed hi-tech disinfectant machine at the entry point where temperature of guests is measured and they are placed inside the machine where the disinfectant is sprayed all over the body.” — HNS
